Planning Your Trip to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights Orlando

As a horror fan, who also happens to live in Orlando, FL it's usually a must to visit Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. What you also realize is that you do not want to spend an arm and a leg on tickets and not be able to visit all the houses in the park. With all my years visiting the park here are some tips to make your trip worth while and which houses where my favorite.

Invest in purchasing the frequent fear pass. I get it, it's fun to visit the parks on a Friday and Saturday but in doing so you face the longest lines and maybe get to see 3 houses. I purchased the frequent fear pass that let me go to HHN on the first weekend, every Sunday, Wednesday, Thursdays and the 30th and 31st. By doing this you have plenty of time to enjoy the attractions and take your time.

If the fear pass is not an option, consider going o Halloween. Most people are surprised by me saying this because they think out of all the days, that's the one that would be most packed. Not true, Last year we went on Halloween and the park was very empty. The longest wait time I experienced was 45min.  So if you do not have any plans yet on Halloween, now you do.

My Favorite Haunted Houses: This year I must admit all the houses are enjoyable, but If you want to know which where the best ones here is my opinion.

1) The Shining- I might be biased because it is one of my favorite horror movies but they really go all out in making you feel you are in the movie. My favorite was the elevator scene with blood spewing out of it. They actually did that in the attraction.  A def. must!

2) American Horror Story- whether you watch the series or not this house will still make you jump out of your shoes. You will also never look at a pig the same way. This house has great attention to details and some really clever ways the actors jump out to scare you.

3) Dead Water- Whats most impressive about this house is how you really feel you are walking into an abandon sinking ship in the swamps of Louisiana. Not to mention throwing in some voodoo in the mix and this house will leave you feeling possessed with fear.

4) Saw- My favorite thing about the Saw films is the death traps Jigsaw creates for his victimsand in this house you can to see them all.  You will be walking through rooms of people locked in to their trapped and witness their gory demise. I recommend not walking to fast thru this house so yo can witness the death scenes of the victims.

Merchandise: I usually don't buy any shirts from HHN because I feel Universal can overdue it with adding their logo all over the shirt. But this year, I was very surprised with how great the shirts came out with only the logo on the sleeve.  Check out this rad shirt I bought for my girlfriend on the night we went.

Things to Avoid: Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure. I know it's the last year they will have the show until they retire it, but it's really lack luster and if your on a time crunch I would recommend you go see another house.

Here are some more photos I took when I went. If you have any tips that I might not have covered I would love to hear them. Just shoot us an email at twohispanicsandawhiteguy@gmail.com.
